Sustainable Development Report 2026

The Sustainable Development Report (SDR) reviews progress on the SDGs each year since their adoption by all UN Member States in 2015. The 2026 edition identifies 8 priorities for accelerating SDG progress through 2030 and beyond, and it presents results from 2 new SDSN surveys: one of SDSN’s network of experts on governments’ SDG efforts and another of the broader public on barriers to SDG implementation and priorities for a post-2030 Agenda.

The report assesses the progress of all 193 UN Member States on the SDGs: This year, Finland, Sweden and Denmark top the rankings. In addition to overall scores, we also feature a spillover index that tracks countries' positive and negative impacts abroad.

Our report features a dedicated profile page for each UN Member State, showing performance and trends by SDG and by indicator. By clicking on a goal or indicator, you can view historical timeseries (when available) and detailed indicator metadata in the side panel.
