Description
Volume of major conventional weapons exported, expressed in constant 1990 US$ millions (TIV) per 100,000 population. The trend-indicator value is based on the known unit production cost of a core set of weapons and does not reflect the financial value of the exports. Small arms, light weapons, ammunition and other support material are not included. Values were calculated using a 5-year average on the latest ten years of data. *The inclusion of an indicator on the exports of major conventional weapons should not be interpreted as a value judgment by the authors on the policies implemented in the context of the war in Ukraine.
